EFM Circuits

Traditional legacy technologies are struggling to cope with bandwidth hungry applications, mainly as they were conceived as a stand alone service, never needing to work closely with other solutions. Plus, this year, providers such as BT will be retiring legacy technologies such as Datastream so don't leave your business at risk - talk to us about EFM today. Leased Lines

NSE's leased lines are high-performance, dedicated, permanently available connections capable of carrying voice, data and internet traffic. NSE connectivity is designed for those businesses placing the Internet at the heart of their business strategy.

Services maintain the balance between the cost of high-quality, fast, reliable Internet access and its business benefits. Available nationally, with our industry leading Service-Level Agreements (SLA) and including managed routers that ensure reliability and longevity.

All NSE leased line services are fully symmetric (same data rate in both directions), clear bandwidth, uncontended with no multiplexing and no loss of bandwidth from other users.

All services 10Mb and above are delivered using fibre optic connections, whilst 2Mb services can be delivered either using copper or fibre. All lines are upgradeable and available with either bandwidth-on-demand or fixed bandwidth options.

Leased lines available from 2 to 622 Mbps nationwide (Ethernet delivered services at 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps are also available).

  • Real-time usage statistics
  • 24-hour support
  • Fully managed routers
  • Unlimited IP addresses (subject to usual RIPE justification/qualification)

Broadband

NSE broadband services offer a high-quality, reliable, always-on Internet connection at a simple flat fee. Office Broadband enhances the service even further by increasing the upstream connection and decreasing the contention (the number of people sharing the service). Additionally, NSE can offer Enhanced Care on all ADSL services, providing first priority engineer support in the event of a line failure or BT exchange fault.

Combining telephony services with NSE Office Broadband ensures high-quality telephone calls with voice traffic prioritised end-to-end on the NSE network. Intelligent routers and telephone switches can automatically fail calls over to a standard BT line if the ADSL service is unavailable, ensuring you are never out of touch with your customers.

NSE broadband gives you a fast, reliable Internet connection with enhanced support for NSE voice services, allowing up to 8 concurrent voice calls over your ADSL broadband connection.

IP Transit

NSE’s IP-Transit (Internet Protocol Transit) Service and dedicated IP Peering are high-quality IP-based transit services.

These are offered for Internet Service Providers (ISP), Application Service Providers (ASP), Content Providers and other users demanding high-quality performance and connectivity into the Internet backbone. The services are offered through NSE's own UK network into European and Global Internet Exchange points (IX).

NSE’s Wholesale Peering and IP-Transit Services consist of the following aspects:

  • Internet connectivity (Commercial Peering, European and Global)
  • BGP4 routing as a default routing protocol
  • Network surveillance and reporting
  • Customer support
  • NSE’s IP-Transit Service is provided with 95th percentile billing for data and route hosting is also supported with a customer pre-defined prefix list

IP-Transit Service is provided with 95th percentile billing for data and route hosting is also supported with a customer pre-defined prefix list. BGP4, the routing protocol used with Wholesale Peering and IP-Transit Services, enables clients to have several simultaneous IP-capacity providers (Multi Homing). Customers wishing to take advantage of this are expected to have their own IP-address space or Autonomous System. Wholesale maintains and guarantees network operations within own network up to the desired exchange point(s).

Wholesale IP

NSE Wholesale IP-VPN enables carriers and ISP's to extend the reach of their own Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network and thereby provide MPLS VPN's outside their own network reach.

The Wholesale IP-VPN Service is a secure IP-based access service offered UK wide for carriers and ISPs. It is also available on a global scale through NSE's partnerships.

NSE Wholesale IP-VPN is a transparent MPLS service that supports Quality of Service (QoS), enabling your customers to use data, voice and video service at the required quality, regardless of location. By choosing NSE as your supplier of IP-VPN in the UK, you will get access to a highly flexible and modular service where you will be able to tailor your offer to your customers' needs.

NSE can also offer IP-VPN services through partners' networks in other parts of the world such as Europe, The Baltics, Russia, and China.
