Case study: Malik PIMS
May 20, 2010
Malik PIMS are a global marketing and management consultancy company with 15 users in their London office. They provide confidential management support to many global Fortune 500 companies. At the core of their deliverables is PIMS ‘Profit Impact of Market Strategy’ evidence drawn from many years of real business experience from across the globe.
NSE'S involvement
Malik PIMS required dedicated leased line Internet connectivity and a full VOIP telephony solution.
NSE provided a 10mg dedicated leased line for their Internet provison. Through this line we securely channel their telephony solution, which uses Polycom handsets on the desk. This enables their users to have the full features of an in-house telephone exchange system – caller ID pop-up, conference calling, call forwarding, call routing (so if they want, the call will always find them wherever they are, via the numbers they have programmed.) Effectively, their telephony is being delivered via the Cloud, in this case through their own private line to the servers. When their users work at home or on the road they can connect to their usual phone.
They also have efax facilities, which gives them the ability to seamlessly send and receive faxes from their email.
'My favourite feature,' says Iain Brown of Malik PIMS,
'is that I get my voicemails sent to my email address automatically!'
After an initial set-up fee to cover equipment costs, Malik PIMS pay a monthly charge for the telephone service. As they expand it is simple to add extra users to the system by purchasing another handset. Currently, NSE handle the administration of adding the user on the system, although this will be soon in the client’s hands via a web-based admin system (launching May 24, 2010.)
'NSE provide high quality technical solutions at reasonable prices and are a pleasure to deal with'
